Primary tabs

Developing the private sector is the only way to grow the economy and individuals have to adopt better attitudes and discipline to grow themselves and their businesses, Oluniyi Robin-Coker former Minister of Energy said at a business seminar hosted by Cordaid on May 14 at Bintumani Hotel in Freetown. He is currently the Coordinator of the private sector component of the ebola recovery strategy.
“Private sector development is the only way forward to grow this economy. If we do not
grow this economy, we are going to sink, Mr. Robin-Coker said. “And for us to grow the economy individually we have to grow ourselves, we have to adopt better attitudes, better discipline, better time keeping, better efficiency. That’s the way we grow ourselves, we grow our businesses,” he stressed.

He informed business owners present that two key areas of the ebola recovery initiative of President Koroma will include the creation of 10,000 jobs in the agriculture sector and the development of a competitively 1,000 micro, small and medium enterprises.
Mr. Robin-Coker was one of three motivational speakers at the Cordaid May 2016 Seminar focused on private sector development in Sierra Leone.
