With support from the European Union, children and young people around the country are beneficiaries of a project, Engaging Children and Youth as Partners in preventing violence against children.
Held in the three District headquarter cities of Bo, Kenema and Makeni, children and young people had the opportunity to meet to engage themselves, and discuss further about ‘violence’ which many think is responsible for the increased rate of lawlessness as well as indiscipline in society.
Search for Common Ground (SFCG), Centre for the Coordination of Youth Activities (CCYA) and the Society for Learning and Yearning for Equal Opportunities (SLYEO) are implementing the Mano River Union (MRU) based project to give children and young people a voice to know their problems and how together violence amongst them can be prevented.
