Research is an important tool for development – Prof. Joe Turay

The Vice Chancellor, University of Makeni, Professor Joe Turay on Tuesday revealed that for development to take effect, planning and research are important tools.
He made this disclosure while addressing children and young people during the regional summit in Makeni to engage children and young people to prevent violence among themselves in communities.

Professor Joe Turay commended the implementing partners, Search for Common Ground (SFCG), Centre for Coordination of Youth Activities (CCYA), and the Society for Learning and Yearning for Equal Opportunities (SLYEO) for encouraging children and young people to come together to shape their future.
He noted that carrying out research is not an easy task as it involves a lot of time and energy to achieve credible results when undertaking such processes.
